My friend here looks as though he’s telling me something important. I feel like I should have been listening, but I was distracted by all the renovations going on around me. Balboa Park is ever changing to meet the demands of the new world.

More times than not, beauty can be found in the grim. This old SkyLark have shown me a lovely color underneath with the help of the Sunshine. Good ole San Diego, most reliable weather in the nation.

A five hour drive south of Saigon will land you in the heart of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. The canals and waterways are a lifeline for the Vietnamese farmers. Their goods are carried to the floating markets via water. Hidden between thick jungle and a maze of canals you can find beautifully aged temples. The ruins and reminders of French architecture still haunt the land, what remains slowly crumbles back to the earth. A visually stunning country, filled with colorful, friendly people.

Joe is on his way to Iraq today. He’s no longer in the military, but a private contractor for the Army. It breaks my heart. Please keep him in your positive thoughts and prayers.
