I chose a series on figure sculpting landscapes for the AAU Spring Art Show. I spent a few weeks discovering the art of sculpting the figure with light and dark. I was told I had found my niche in figure work, I am a natural they say. I feel like I have so much more to learn, so far a good start. It was hard getting the lighting right and the angle. This is much harder than I thought figure art would be. The skin tone and texture really show through, and I found it important to capture this. Without these features, I would just have plain images of body parts and skin.
