i made a nest today
I had to take a still outdoors for my finals. I made a nest out of Spanish moss and a mini wreath. Tossed a few chicken eggs in and viola! I stuck it in a tree next to some wetlands. Since it’s been rainy and foggy, I’ve been blessed with naturally diffused light. The atmospheric depth today is super duper. I love this weather for photography.

the Gulf Coast
My mom and I took a drive down the Gulf Coast, scoping out scenes for my finals. She took me behind the Hard Rock Casino to where the shrimp boats dock, and I found a friend. Pelican Pete is his name.

Today is a good day.
My brother just stepped off a plane from Iraq. He’s home sweet home and I’m stoked stoked stoked. For sure!! No matter what happens today, I am super duper thankful. He has been there over six months as an independent contractor for the Army and it’s been the hardest 6 months for my whole family. He’s back home in New York where he belongs!!

This is a sculpture originally made by the New York Graffiti artist, Seen. Dodgrr of San Diego casted a clear series and were auctioned in Paris.

Dark
The graveyard in Old Towne, San Diego is pretty old. It is in the “birthplace” of California. It’s got white wood grave markers, like white picket fence. It runs under the street too, so you are really just driving over indian graves and disrespecting the dead.

I found this fossil while walking the pups on the beach. I figure it’s just as much part of our heritage. I like the blurry effect the water has on the submerged areas.

On a walk through Sunset Cliffs I fell into a dreamy state of mind. I thought for a moment I might see a white rabbit scurrying along, late. He would fit in here with the SoCal relax vibe, everyone is always late it seems.
